ISI, Mossad, Raw: Who be rigging the Tribune poll?

Posted on Updated on

So we ran a poll on The Express Tribune website yesterday:

Do you think RAW, Mossad are behind kidnappings in Pakistan as claimed by the ISI counsel?

Results on the main site:

Yes (66%, 1,250 Votes)

No (34%, 630 Votes)

Total Voters: 1,880

Results for same question on our Facebook page (where you have to be a real user to vote + all sorts of impediments to cheating):

Yes ( 48%, 100 Votes)

No (52%, 107 Votes)

Total Voters: 207

Couple of points to keep in mind:

1. On a regular day with any regular poll, we usually average 300-400 votes on the main site, and 200-300 on Facebook.

2. Our Facebook page audience has consistently been more right-wing and nationalist than the main site on polls.

I have been reading the comments box in the ET from the readers, and have always foung that most of the comments are stereo-typed and the polls have showed if not exact but approx result to what the common reader is, these readers come from our society and have always been surprised the views of our people towards the issues, mostly its RAW or Mossad behind our problems, Qadianis kill themselves, and Hindus are found in taliban bombing our cities and mosques, as this is what we have learnt in our schools and colleges.
